I'm proud to announce the release of my new Quintet record From the Heart on Jazz Excursion Records. All the recording was done this past March, but as with any album, this project has been in the works for quite a while, and has changed forms several times during the last few years. Among the nine tunes are six originals, the beautiful ballad 'These Foolish Things', Thad Jones' 'Three and One', and the title track, Bunky Green's 'From the Heart'.
The CD is currently available from Jazz Excursion Records nationwide, and digitally through all major online download outlets. Additionally, the album is getting great play on jazz radio throughout the country, and has been receiving a great response from listeners and critics alike. In support of the new record, my quintet will be performing more in the New York area (including currently scheduled stops at Smalls and other area venues), and in other parts of the country in 2008. Keep an eye on my schedule for more details and events - we'd love to see you at one of our shows! Click 'Read More...' for the track listings, personnel, and samples.
