Growing up I always had a curiosity for computers - made easier by my mother's involvement with technology education. Little did I know when I was 10 and building a database for my baseball cards that someday I'd be building databases and websites for some of the most interesting clients around. Although I have never been formally trained in computer science, all my life I've had the curiosity to learn more and look for inventive ways to dig into information management.
When I first moved to New York, I worked for the Apple Store in SoHo where, amongst other things, I taught classes in the theatre and classroom. While there, I was able to spend time working on my programming and technical skills.
In the last few years, I've done lots of freelance work in Filemaker Pro, and built websites using html, css, php, MySQL, and javascript. With recent advents in web connectivity to FileMaker datastores, I have become an expert on building systems that bridge the flexability of FileMaker for internal systems with the security and accessability of an external website. I am also very versed in several CMS suites, including Joomla, WordPress, and Expression Engine. I tend to write using the CodeIgniter framework, but also have experince with the Zend Framework.
I am the founder of Orchestrated Systems Consulting, which in addition to offering Filemaker and web development services, produces several web applications, including teresa software - a medical practice management software. Additionally, we operate Beeig Industries - a collection of web apps for web users.
